Chiropractic Adjustments (cervical area)

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon everyone,

I’ve received chiropractic care for several years for intermittent adjustments to address cervical and thoracic discomfort. Prior to surgery, I asked my surgeon if I could continue seeing a chiropractor after implantation. His response was that he didn’t think that would cause any issues.

Since my implantation a little more than one year ago, I have avoided cervical adjustments. I am considering resuming treatments in this area due to neck discomfort. My chiropractor has offered 2 options: standard manual adjustments or adjustments using an electric impulse gun.

Does anyone else receive cervical chiropractic adjustments?

Thanks! Heather W

Hi Heather.

I go to a chiropractor weekly and he manually adjusts my cervical and thoracic and other areas. He also sometimes uses a clicker type tool and a type of massage/impact “gun” to further loosen things up but mostly it’s manual adjustments.

I did take a break while recovering from implant (and other) surgeries but once healed went back as regular. Other than my processors getting bumped off my head either from his hands or the table I lay on there’s no issues I’ve experienced.

Only if my processors don’t get knocked off by something or other and when it’s a good crick-crack. 😄
