Feeling thankful

As we are preparing to celebrate Thanksgiving Day in the US, I am thinking about all of the things I am thankful for in my life.  My Med El CIs are high on my list.  Thank you Med El for bringing hearing back into my life.

I am thankful my CIs allow me to....

-join in family game nights and keep up with all of the teasing and jokes

-enjoy music and play the piano again

-converse in groups without having to have someone recap everything afterwards so I am caught up

-converse from different rooms and different levels in our home

-hear students, co-workers, etc easily at work

-listen to audiobooks, podcasts, radios

-enjoy Broadway musicals and plays as well as live music events

-hear in the ocean!  Definitely a favorite!

-enjoy the sounds of nature

What are you thankful for?

Well I’m Canadian but I’m thankful for my CI as well. I can talk on the phone, listen to music, and converse better with family in any situation. Also I’m extremely thankfiul for my bionic friends or CI-borgs that have helped me and those who I can help in return.
