Ed Pottharst
Hi, I'm a bilaterial Sonnet 2 user, and I attend many virtual meetings. For these I've been using Audiolink. I've received reports from hearing co-workers that sometimes they've noticed a lag. Here is one report: "The lag I saw early in the meeting seemed to be due to your internet connectivity—your video was freezing and your audio was cutting in and out. Later in the meeting when you spoke again, it seemed mostly resolved. Your sound quality wasn’t great, but it wasn’t cutting in and out like it was when we did introductions at the beginning of the meeting." I am wondering what this might mean and how I might troubleshoot. Thanks, Ed Pottharst
Anthony Canada
Hi Ed. Does the problem happen if use speakers instead of the Audiolink? You could try to test this in a one-on-one virtual meeting. A problem with video lag or your sound cutting in and out to others is likely to be a bandwidth problem.
Tami
You could have your IP run a network quality test on your hardware. Also, if you have a lot of devices within the home that connect, they might be utilizing your bandwidth at the same time and causing the degradation of your network speeds. Another thing to check is if you’re using any sort of mesh/ repeater/ extender within the home, try to move it close or you move to your actual WiFi router for connection. See if that improves anything!
