One thing we all have to remind ourselves from time to time is that the cochlear implant, just like the hearing aid, is not going to give us absolutley 100% hearing in all situations. Hearing aids as well as ci's are and aid, not a cure. Heck , there are times in noisy environments that I hear things better than a hearing person does. We all want to get 100% out of our implants but we do have to remember that we are always going to be deaf. one cool thing is though that we can get pretty darn close to better than the avg. person hearingwise.
