sassychele02
Hi my new friends. ?Mt preop is tomorrow and my first CI surgery is Tuesday. The closer it gets the more my stomach does butterflies and I get nauseated. I am currently lying in the back seat of our minivan making the 2 hour drive to my surgical hospital. Is this a common feeling? How did you guys deal and feel pre surgery? I so wish I could take something for anxiety although I haven't had an anxiety attack in many years!! HearPeers Heroes Mary Featherston Posted July 29, 2018 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted July 29, 2018 Don't worry, @sassychele02 - your doctor does a LOT of these. I was a little nervous before my surgery but Dr Huang and her team made me feel better- they were confident and professional and did everything they could to make my surgery both a success and easy on me. And I bet you'll have a similar procedure. Try to be cool. :-) Just think about activation and learning a new way to hear! sassychele02

HearPeers Heroes Kara of Canada Posted July 31, 2018 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted July 31, 2018 I always get butterflies at the last minute. So you are not alone. Music would help or distracting yourself with other things helps too. What ever hobby you do.

HazelHamilton
Hey, it is quite natural to feel anxiety and nervousness before your surgery. My brother fell in great depression a week before his surgery, he was advised to take the counseling and get to know more from the voyance direct experts to get mental stability and positive energy to face the coming challenges bravely. Later he overcame from the depression and even after the surgery now he has got a positive path of living life happily. Jewel
