Hearing and vision loss

Hi all,

I know several people who have both hearing and vision loss.  Some of these people have a genetic condition called Usher’s Syndrome, which presents in several varieties. These friends use cochlear implants.

Do we have any members of HearPeers who have both hearing and vision loss?  If so, what is difficult for you to do with our CI processors due to your vision loss?

I can imagine that changing the Sonnet mic cover and dealing with that tiny pin is quite challenging so it’s great that Med-El is soon releasing a different version of the mic cover which will no longer require removing the pin.

Is orientating the Sonnet battery cover something that is difficult?

What else is difficult due to vision loss?
