Hey guys and girls - I've been a bit slack posting here recently due to work issues and just being generally really busy.

I have an introduction to make. I have acquired a new addition to my "family". Molly the psycho Kelpie and I have been joined by Sam the crazy BCD (google it if you don't know) who is 9 months old and deaf. I have joined a FB group on deaf dogs and the BCD is one of the most commonly owned deaf dog.

I had someone ask me if I was going to keep him when I worked out he was deaf - really??

I hope I can attach some pictures here.

Anyone else with a deaf pet?

Matt, time for a giant AWWWWW, he's so cute! On behalf of Mollie, where's my picture?  I googled BCD and did find a picture of a fishing lure, but I didn't think you would be adopting a deaf lure, even if you are in NZ.

MATT!!!!! your back!!

I'm with John. Great looking lure i guess the benefit is it does not eat much and is easy to take for walks as long as you stay away from the bushes.

Hi Matt!

That is one awfully cute fella - who apparently will sleep absolutely anywhere!

Now I want to see a picture of a crazy kelpie.

Hi Matt, Sam is absolutely adorable. Is he totally deaf or does he have some hearing? I had a dog named Sam. He was a cross between a collie, poodle and a terrier. He wasn't deaf, just didn't listen! He lived 16 years and I still miss him!

But they aren't deaf, they hear Surprised Much too much !

They were found in a litter bin on Sardinia , so I took them to my home.

Very cute Thomas - my two would enjoy playing with them.

Sandy - he's totally deaf. I adopted him from someone who couldn't look after him anymore and I had him less than 24 hours before I realised he was deaf. I have taken him to obedience and he was one of the best in the class - less distraction probably.

Still looking for pictures of Molly.
