drewellwood
Hello Everyone My daughter lost her hearing last summer as a result of contacting meningitis. This also destroyed her organs of balance. Just looking for some feedback if anyone else has had this happen. I'm concerned that my daughter will not be able to ride a bike without some sort of assistance. Any feedback is welcomed. Thanks Drew Quote Link to comment https://forum.hearpeers.com/topic/485-balance-issues/ Share on other sites
HearPeers Heroes Sandy Posted February 26, 2014 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted February 26, 2014 Hi Drew, I've been deaf most of my life plus I was born with one leg shorter than the other (at one time it was 5 inches shorter) and neither of these challenges prevented me from riding a bike (both pedal and motorbike). All I can say is "GO, GIRL, GO!) Quote Link to comment https://forum.hearpeers.com/topic/485-balance-issues/#findComment-3009 Share on other sites
Leblisa
I've not had that happen to me but I do know there are physical therapists who specialize in balance/vestibular therapy; has she done that?
