Leblisa
Had my appointment with the ENT surgeon today and he wants to do vestibular (caloric?) testing on both ears before doing the second CI. He says if my previously-implanted right ear has not regained good vestibular function we may not want to do the second ear in case it's vestibular function also were to become impaired. I'm so disappointed that there's a possible reason to not have the chance to go bilateral but I'm keeping fingers crossed that the test, on May 5, will have a good result. Has anyone here not been able to have the second ear done because of poor vestibular function in the first after CI implantation?
