Gloria Sutterfield
Hey folks, I'm twenty-five years old. Yesterday when I wake up in the morning, I could not hear out of one ear. I experienced the same issue two days before. My grandmother had a hearing loss and worn hearing aids since she was in her twenties. I've heard that genetic factors cause some humans more susceptible to hearing loss. So, I'm worried that I'm moving to the same stage of hearing loss. Sudden hearing loss may occur due to many reasons. So, I'm considering doing an online hearing test to know the real cause of hearing loss in one ear. I would like to know the experiences of anyone who has done an online hearing test. Please share your experience.
HearPeers Heroes polyesternapkinstowaway Posted September 28, 2020 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted September 28, 2020 @Gloria Sutterfield You need to go the ER. A sudden loss of hearing is an emergency. Do everything you can to get there. We can help after that but right now you need to be examined and possibly treated. An online hearing test won't tell you anything useful.
