mohrman1
My thanks to everyone on HearPeers. I am being implanted tomorrow at the Mayo Clinic in my left ear after losing my hearing only in my left due to SSHL. Still a bit apprehensive about the surgery - it seems individuals have had different outcomes although it seems most are up and about in the next two days. I am sure that I will be back on this site often after implantation and activation. Thanks, Bill. mohrman1
Had surgery. Everything went well according to the surgeon. the flex 24 was inserted very far up so there is decent coverage. Also, the doctor thought that very little residual hearing was destroyed. I was out of the hospital and heading home later that day. Slept well with meds. Actually trying to get a bit of work done today. Bill.
