I have started to consider CI late last year, and have been doing my research and reaching out to people to hear about their experiences. I was initially fearful of going through the surgery and the whatnot. I am not a Med EL user but the forum here certainly hold very useful information compared to other forums and the successful stories here made me feel more optimistic I am in the process of getting checked out to determine medically suitable for CI. Not sure how it will be, so far I've already done the evaluation test, and my doctor has strongly recommended CI, so I suppose MRI scan is next, and I think I am mentally prepared to take the next step.
