The latest Med-El technologies SYNCHRONY implant and SONNET processor have been approved by FDA.  I visited Med-El international website http://www.medel.com/eas-hearing-implant-system/ and found out SYNCHRONY implant and SONNET processor are available for international EAS recipients. I am not sure if these latest technologies are available for EAS recipients in US.

Does anyone have information?  I think about calling or sending email to FDA, or visiting FDA office in silver spring after back to DC area next month.

Very happy they have finally been approved. I really like the look of the sonnet. Can't wait to see one in person.

Does anybody know how fast they are coming? I would imagine with all the patients wanting to upgrade, there might be a delay in getting one due to demand.

Well, the company made pretty big and widely disseminated advertisement so I guess that product manager did get a call from the upside   - advertise managers?  :P
