Chris K Posted July 11, 2021 Report Share Posted July 11, 2021 Husband been wearing aids for years. His loss has been described as severe. Most due to construction work throughout his lifetime. They aids seem very effective. He struggles with conversation and tinnitus. He is becoming isolated. Anyone have similar experience? I am wondering if it is time for a consult with CI specialist. We are 2 hours from Philadelphia and appx 2.5 from midtown nyc...would also consider Hopkins or pittsburgh...forgot to add he has an acoustic neuroma that has been stable appx 20 years. At that time the protocol at NYEE was -activation -1 week later -1 month later -1 month later -1 month later -3 months later -6 months later This may have changed.
