twinelm Posted August 5, 2021 Report Share Posted August 5, 2021 I am 68 and live in Temple, Texas and am excited to be scheduled for surgery on August 27th in my left ear which suddenly when "dark" in mid May. The right one went down to almost nothing in May of 2018, but because the left one was functional, I hadn't seriously contemplated surgery. Now it is a necessity because I am still trying to work and meetings are a huge part of what I do. My research pointed me to Med-El and I was thrilled to learn my surgeon had experience from back east, and since coming here many more Med El implants were done, and one of the audiologists became a Med-El expert on staff! I chose the Synchrony 2 and Rondo 3 as my clinic is a two processor clinic. Super excited and three weeks cannot pass fast enough for me!
