2monkeys
My 11 year old is 8 months post activation. She plays recreational soccer and this is the year they are eligible to head the ball. We have the option to opt out of heading the ball. Curious what your thoughts are regarding the safety of this in the context of her having a cochlear implant. She wears the Rondo3 tucked inside a sports band to prevent it from falling off, which has been working well. Lily
HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted August 17, 2021 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted August 17, 2021 @2monkeys As a Teacher of the Deaf we opted to have our students with CIs opt out of heading the ball in soccer. As a bilateral CI user, I would not head butt the ball but that is just my opinion. I suggest you check with her CI surgeon.
