HearPeers Heroes Mary Featherston Posted December 21, 2021 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted December 21, 2021 I was scheduled, in March of last year, to travel to Durham to participate in Med-El's ongoing research project to keep improving the CIs that we receive. It was cancelled due to the first COVID wave that month. We were rescheduled to begin again in January 2022, and guess what? NC is apparently having another uptick in cases and Med-El is not bringing visitors in. I was expecting it, and actually think it's the right decision, but this is SO disappointing. Dianna Posted December 22, 2021 Report Share Posted December 22, 2021 Hi mary, im sorry you are missing the research project. I sm currently in a research project also, but have not been cancelled. The hospital has very strict covid protocols, and my research hours are set-up for after mappings, so i spend all day there, its only 30 miles for me and its both gratifying and so fascinating!
