SSD Dan
Has anyone lost or accidentally damaged their Sound Processor? What would be the approximate replacement cost? (I'm based in Australia if that helps.)
HearPeers Heroes Kylie Posted April 8, 2022 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted April 8, 2022 I have a 3 year warranty so I just had a broken part replaced for free. But after that time there is a fee (don't know how much). Also I added it to my home contents insurance in case I need to replace the whole device, which I believe costs ~$8000 if you were to pay in full. Rubella
Kylie, good tip about homeowners insurance. Hadn't thought of that.
HearPeers Heroes Kylie Posted April 9, 2022 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted April 9, 2022 My audiologist recommended it. Said if I lost or smashed it, I would be glad to have the insurance cover! Seems sensible. Mary Beth
