Lost/damaged Sound Processor?

Has anyone lost or accidentally damaged their Sound Processor?

What would be the approximate replacement cost? (I'm based in Australia if that helps.)

I have a 3 year warranty so I just had a broken part replaced for free. But after that time there is a fee (don't know how much). Also I added it to my home contents insurance in case I need to replace the whole device, which I believe costs ~$8000 if you were to pay in full.

My audiologist recommended it. Said if I lost or smashed it, I would be glad to have the insurance cover! Seems sensible.
