Best music listening solution on planes?

I travel a little bit and one of the things I like to do on planes is listen to music or watch movies on my iPad. On planes, the typical challenges I run into on the plane are loud engines droning and crying babies. So I like to mute the mics and listen to my iDevices in quiet. I looked at the streaming solutions (bluetooth neckloop, DAI, FM, etc) but it doesn't seem like there is a way to mute the mics without going into telecoil. I've had problems with my hearing aid telecoil buzzing incessantly loud on planes. How is the Sonnet's telecoil on planes? Does it buzz loudly?

What do you use for travelling on planes and listening to music or watching movies and minimizing external noise?

Oops, I just searched "planes" instead of "airplanes" and saw some answers to my questions.

  • It'll likely buzz loudly like it does with my hearing aids
  • Use the Bose QC35 noise canceling headset
  • Try CozyPhone(?)

@Watersail

Terrible buzzing on planes on Telecoil.

Excellent with BOSE QC35 noise canceling headphones with my OPUS2 processors.

Excellent with CozyPhones with any processor.

Some like the red jack DAI which is 90/10 plugged into the FM battery cover.

I use Sony MX1000 noise canceling over the ear headphones plugged directly into my Ipad by cable. Therefore I don’t have to worry about the headphones being charged up for bluetooth or any other devices. Simple and works great.

Oh, that is nice that it is 90/10, it'll be nice to shut off the ambient noise.

Simple solutions sounds great too :) Thanks for the feedback!
