HearPeers Heroes Kylie Posted April 8, 2021 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted April 8, 2021 I really enjoyed this installment of your series! It brought tears to my own eyes remembering those special first days of new (old!) sounds. John R
HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted April 8, 2021 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted April 8, 2021 @John R Great video. It’s so cool that you are experiencing the frequency band electrode selection based on how your array is positioned in your unique cochlea! The cool anatomy based fitting using OTOPLAN. Which electrode array do you have? John R

The Flex 28, and we know via the CT scan that it reaches perfectly to he apex of the cochlea. Mary Beth
HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted April 8, 2021 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted April 8, 2021 @John R My left side is flex 28 and I have had X-ray and CT imaging so we know it is in a great position too. I wish all CI surgeons used imaging post insertion.

HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted April 8, 2021 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted April 8, 2021 @John R Are you still adjusting the frequency bands assigned to each electrode or are you liking the way things are set now?

Still playing around with levels mostly, a few minor changes in the EAS, I play around with electrode 3 on or off at times, My next MAPping is on May 6th. so far 250hz is being a bit if a nuisance, inconstantly. but I'm positive its my cochlea not the array. I sit at home and run sweeps and tests tones, basically being a royal pain when I walk in to my audiologists LOL.. Jared Charney
HearPeers Heroes Mary Beth Posted April 19, 2021 HearPeers Heroes Report Share Posted April 19, 2021 @John R It takes awhile for our brains to sort out all the info from our CIs. Good luck. Jared Charney and John R

Auto correct just did it again! Dang machine does not understand emotions. I am going to have to proofread my posts much better in the future.
