Leslie
ok, so not sure if I'm allowed to post this so sorry if not. I purchased life insurance back in 2002 which included deafness cover. After 10 years of slowly losing my hearing and coping with Tinnitus Ive now been diagnosed profoundly deaf and even hearing aids don't deliver sound to me anymore. I'm currently going through the process of CI selection here in the UK but its all been delayed due to COVID so i'm not sure when i will get CI now. 2021 after many episodes of earing infections I lost what little hearing I had so I logged a claim under my critical illness cover and am awaiting there decision. Now I wanted to know if others have been through this process and if your insurance company considered CI as being a resolution for deafness and therefore refused to pay out. I'm not sure yet how my claim is likely to be dealt with and wanted to try and do some research as to what others have experienced. Les.
