@Jimit as a follow up to Dianna’s pics and as requested:

I was able to help Dianna because we had the same brand of TV, Vizio.

Hey Thanks @Lauren I can see I only have optical out there. So all good. I will have to use that converter and optical cable to make it work 😛

Thanks @Dianna, I use the same cable for music from my Android phone. It sounds awesome. For my Mac, I just connect audio link directly using Bluetooth, I found the sound quality from my Mac over Bluetooth is slightly better than using cable from my phone.

But both works flawlessly except just a range issue. But I am fine with that as I don't need to roam around the rooms while listening music. 😛 The range matters when listening from TV as I can't watch it sitting in front of it. 😀 Hoping the new arrangement works. Finger crossed 🤞

@Lauren @Dianna @Mary Beth

Just wanted to confirm that digital to analog converter worked like a charm. Have bought one optical cable too. Links of both are given below.

Optical Cable (Goes from TV to Digital to Analog Converter as input)

https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B005LJQMZC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Digital to Analog Converter

https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B008EPW7TA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So the Red and White end of the TV cable provided by Med-EL goes in converter in output jacks and the other to Audio link.

Just need to make sure, TV output set to Internal Speaker + Optical.

Thanks all for the details. Listening to TV has never been this beautiful 😛

Hi @Dianna, Not sure, but direct cable is probably better than using it with converter. I have to use the converter because of missing socket in my TV.

@Jimit

That is terrific!!!

Will you post the brand and model and possibly pic of each?  The links will not work for me because we are in different countries.  Thanks.

@Mary Beth

Here are the snaps of both converter and cable. I think you might not find it in your country but there has to be same kind of product from some other manufacturers.

  • 3 weeks later...

A little late to the party, sorry.

I use audiolink in the cradle connected to the tv 100% of the time.
I sometimes have difficulty connecting to the tv only to find my Rondo 3 has paired to my tablet or phone and quitting this connection allows the audiolink to connect to the Rondo 3. Rare but it happens.
