Best music mapping for Rondo 3

Vedant

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I hope you all are doing well. I am a bilateral Rondo 3 CI user, and my first mapping is happening in a week.

As a DJ heavily into nightlife, I'm seeking advice on the best mapping or settings for music. Currently, what I hear isn't natural, so I'm looking for help from those experienced with this.

Additionally, could someone guide me on how to optimize the other three programs? I want to enhance my hearing experience overall and make it as natural as possible.

Lastly, I'm curious if there's anyone here who is a DJ and also wears the Cochlear Implant. Your insights would be incredibly valuable. Thanks in advance for any tips or advice you can share!

Much love from India!

I suggest asking for a program in omni mic setting with all front end features turned off (wind block etc) in one of your program slots.  Just be sure it is not too loud before leaving the appointment.  Omni is best for me for music.

Perfect. Thank you for helping me out.
Also can you tell me about where do we use for Natural and Adaptive MD?
If you know about ABF OC / SG, please tell me about it too.

I prefer to stay in omni mic setting as my everyday program.

Med-El recommends natural mic setting but I find it too restrictive and prefer hearing more than that mic setting allows.

ABF is being discussed on the forum quite a bit.  Both OC and SG.  If you use the search feature here you should be able to read members posts about it.  That is probably a good place to start and then ask questions as you have them.
