Pairing Rondo with Roger Pen

Recommended Posts

I am trying to pair my roger pen with my rondos and sonnets. From what I have read I need a receiver, which I don't have. Suggestions?

True.  Roger needs both a transmitter (Roger Pen, Roger Select, etc) and a receiver to pick up the sound from the transmitter.

You have several options.

Roger Neckloop receiver

Works with both Rondo and Sonnet but the processors must be on MT or T setting.

The previous model was called Roger MyLink Neckloop receiver.  (Be careful and do not purchase a MyLink neckloop receiver that does not say ROGER.  That is an older model and will not work with Roger transmitters.)

Sonnet also has the option of using Roger 21 integrated battery door receivers.  Then Sonnet stays on M.

@Mary Beth  I already wear the Artone neckloop, don't need another one. I also use my fine tuner. My issue is that when I am out, like a resteraunt, I find it difficult to carry on a conversation due to noise level. What can I do?

A few suggestions…..

-consider getting the small Artone Mic to use along with your Artone neckloop in noisy restaurants

http://handsonhearing.com/resources/ArtoneMicReview.pdf

-ask your audiologist to give you a program on your Sonnet using adaptive mic setting with reduced sensitivity (sound bubble) to use in noisy restaurants.  Then position yourself so that the noise is BEHIND you.  Do not sit with your back against the wall.  Adaptive mic setting does a great job of dampening noise BEHIND us so we need to sit with the noise behind us for it to work best.

When you received the Roger Pen what receiver came with it?

Artone mic will send its sound to the Artone neckloop once you pair them.  We can then use this set up with any processor and any hearing aid that has a T (telecoil) setting.

Rondo 1 and 2 have a built in telecoil.  Rondo 3 has a telecoil adapter.

All Rondos can use this set up.
