Okay, as promised in my email to you Kara, another WOW moment! I was at bingo the other evening and could actually hear most of the numbers being called without looking at the TV screen. Another happy dance!

Wow, already a big winner with a great potential for shoutng Bingo first - no missing numbers!

My moment. Again a restorant with not just a lot of chatting people, but with music in a background. I can hear my husband absolutely clearly with no any tension. And it was so great to spend a day on the waters - not an ocean, just our Pudget Sounds that connected to the Pacific ocean. I didn't want to leave. It sounded so soothingly.

That is great Cara. Having the implant has opened up so many possibilities for us.

When a sense become an emotion - almost as an energy converting, mechanical to chemical...

My WoW moment for this week is a lack of that moments. All that amazed and surprised me sounds ordinary now. Like if it is just common things that I experience each day for whole my life. Not much fun, may be even boring, but, sorry for a paradox, it is a real WOW moment for me!

Not boring at all.

Every morning when we put on our CIs and go about our lives without any extra effort, is a WOW moment indeed. Smile

Yes, you are right, I am agree. But still good to have that extraordinary moments from time to time. They always exist, just need to look (listen) better.

But the way, this time I got to my mapping alone without my husband escort. And I did it great thanks my CI. It added to my confidence a lot.

So - this is also a WOW moment, although with certain different aspect. ;) It builds your personality by building your confidence - it can't be nothing!  :o  ;)

Yeah - just a WOW moment with different aspect. I can only imagine what this means for you when I was almost terrified each year when I had to prolong my vehicle registration - I needed to assist to a mechanic who inspect health of a vehicle. Now I just do not need to try - I actually do hear a difference between all those noises in the garage. This made a tremendous step toward the essential feeling of my own autonomy. Little victories...! ;)

A painful WOW moment but a WOW moment nonetheless......

Yesterday I had to have a biopsy taken from the heel of my foot. I had to lie on the table on my stomach while the doctor was seated near my foot. She talked to me the entire time, asking questions etc. So while I was facing the wall with the Doctor 180 degrees behind me, I answered everything without asking for even one repeat. That was amazing. However staying off my feet while the area starts to heal has been so incredibly boring! Hence lots of time to play on HearPeers and the FaceBook group today.

Prior to my CIs, I would've needed another person in front of me repeating everything the doctor said so I could've speech read.
