Very nice to meet you @Nellie.  You are off to a terrific start!  Enjoy your journey.

The HearPeers forum and the GoogleMeet groups are very kind and helpful.  I love being a part of them.

Today, as always, was a great meeting!

I will have to pass on the July meeting - will catch up in August if there is a meeting. Have a great month!

@Gina and @Drea Lynch

welcome.  Go ahead and introduce yourselves here and then we can set you up to join in.

What processor do you use?

How long have you been implanted?

Anything else you would like us to know about your journeys.

Hi. I have a CI on my left side. I lost hearing over two years from 2022 to 2024. My implant was Feb. 2024 and the activation a month later. I use the sonnet and rondo. (Seem to have better results with the sonnet). I'm hoping to hear about other rehabilitation process and get insights for the future.

Here's some information about me.

Unilateral CI at UNC Cochlear Implant Program. Right: Synchrony 2 Flex February 2024; activated 3 months ago

Widex Hearing Aid in Left Ear

Progressive Sensorineural Hearing Loss for about 20 years

Use mostly the Sonnet  but sometimes the Rondo 3.  I have been streaming phone calls and podcasts to my CI and am trying to branch out with technology to make the most of my implant.  The technology is challenging at times but getting easier.  The difference in my hearing before and after the implant has been somewhat amazing to me.
