Hi everyone, My background...in 2015 I was diagnosed with bilateral acoustic neuromas and NF2 (neurofibromatosis 2) due to some balance and hearing issues.  Treatment was cyberknife over the following years.  A result of which was 0% word comprehension in my left ear and 20-25% in the right.  My ENT has been suggesting a CI for a few years and once my right went to the 20's, I decided to get a CI.  I was implanted and activated in January 2024 with my first mapping next week.  I'm here to meet and learn....

so far, I'm thrilled with the results.  Way beyond my expectations at this point.
